Tecstasy 2K10 - Technical Festival Of CBIT: Events in Hyderabad

The techie bug is still on the prowl, and CBIT is where the latest epidemic is.

Tecstasy 2K10 is a national-level technical symposium being organised by the Department Of Information Technology of the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), on 20th and 21st April, at the college campus. It includes a plethora of both technical and cultural events, as below:

Technical Events

Cognos

This is a national-level paper presentation. All selected papers will be awarded certificates, and there are cash prizes for those who win. The topics are Internet Security, Web Mining, Image Processing, Biometrics, and Virtual Reality.

Scintillate

This is a poster presentation contest, and the topics are the same as those of the paper presentation contest.

Vitruvious

Participants are required to submit their project abstract and output screen shots. The most innovative projects will be selected for the next round.

Acuity

This includes a technical quiz and an onsite event to tests your skills in the quizzing arena.

D-Bug

This is an onsite coding and debugging contest to test your coding speed.

IT-2050

In this "ideas" event, participants need to come up with a presentation on what the role played by information technology in future will be.

Medha

THis is a general quiz contest which tests your knowledge of current affairs.

Robotics

This has several sub-event that include Line Tracer, Soccer and Al-Terrain.

Mock Interviews

This event is for future job-seekers. Job interviews will be conducted by the judges, and the one facing the interview most confidently will be the winner.

Non-Technical Events

AD Mania

The objective of this event is to come up with an innovative advertisement of a particular product that will be given on the spot.

Treasure Hunt

This event is for those who love to solving mysteries and puzzles. The aim of this event is to find the hidden treasure based on given clues.

LAN Gaming

This is an online gaming contest.

Young Manager

This event is a demonstration of students' managerial qualities.

Flick Rush

A short film on any subject should be made, of a duration of a maximum of 12 minutes, and screened at this event.

Participants get to play a game of gully cricket.

Sudoku

The popular maze game will test student's grey cells in this event.

Slow Biking

Participants must ride their bike slowly, and the one who finishes last wins the race.

Basketball

The popular field game will have players showing their skills around the hoop.

Cultural Night

This event has several fun-filled competitions, including singing and dancing contests.
