Scient Institute Of Technology is hosting its annual technical festival TechZeal 2010, on 13th April, at its campus in Ibrahimpatnam. The festival is being conducted by all the departments of the college, and aims to unleash skills of budding engineers, providing an interface not only among the students but also between the students and the corporate world.
The list of events that form part of the festival is as follows:
Paper Presentation
Students from all branches of engineering are welcome to present their papers.
Poster Presentation
Participants must demonstrate their project on a poster and justify its scope in a real time environment.
Mini Project
Participants must exhibit their mini project and are also required to explain its uses.
E Quiz
This event consists of 6 rounds covering all technical aspects of engineering, irrespective of the branch of study.
Robotics
This event has 3 sub-events under it, and they are:
Robo War - In this game, one robot must push the other robot out of the ring.
Robo Soccer - This is a game of football wherein the robot needs to score goals by putting the ball in the opponent robot's goal-post.
Robo Race - Here, the robot that completes the race fastest wins.
Circuit Designing
Circuit will be given and participants will have to list all unnecessary and wrongly placed components in the design.
Coding & Debugging
Programs filled with bugs will be provided, and participants are required to debug them.
Young Entrepreneur
Participants will need to submit their business plan - the best plan wins.
Cultural Events
This section has 4 entertaining sub-events:
Dance - A freestyle dance contest in both solo and group categories.
Singing - This contest is for both solo and group categories, and participants can choose film, classical or folk songs.
Dumb Charades - A topic will be given to one of the team members, and he/she must make the other team member guess the word by enacting its meaning.
Short Film Making - The film made must be at least 12 minutes long.
LAN Gaming
The games in this event are Counter Strike, FIFA & NFS.
