Enjoy this Saturday with Tatva Kundalini (Aditya Anand), one of India's premiere electronica outfits. He's performing live on 14th November, at PMatka, from 8pm onwards.
Tatva K owns the independent record label called Chill Om Records. A radical in his approach to sounds, Tatva K has been the centre force of a bunch of festivals all around, including the Sunburn festival (2008), Shanti Jatra (Nepal) and the Jaipur Viraasat Festival, among others. He has performed along with Osmani Soundz and Nasha Experience, MIdiVal Punditz, Talamasca, Latrama, Kliment and Surbahar.
Tatva's latest compilation album, Swaraaj, was released in December 2008. The album got a few major record labels, including Six Degrees, interested in the act. His music is also being spun in several international radio stations such as Frisky Radio, Beattunes and Global Vortex.
Tatva has been on several international compilations such as Cafe Del Mar and Buddha Bar, along with the likes of Talvin Singh, Transglobal Underground and DJ Spooky. Besides using laptops, guitars, analog synthesizers bass and percussions, he also uses global ethnic instruments - dranyen, mandolin, nagadas, djembes, tabla, morchang, gopichand, bells and gongs, among others.
Tatva K has performed across the country, including at Blue Frog (Mumbai), Elevate (Delhi), One (Pune), Aurus (Mumbai), Hilltop (Goa), Zanzibar (Goa) and Zenzi (Mumbai). He has also spread his sounds worldwide, in Russia, UK and The Gulf. The music is an exploration of the densely rooted Indian sounds drenched in a mixture of funky and up tempo rhythms.
