Octopus Studios is presenting a Telugu play titled "Gograhanam", which is directed by Tanikella Bharani, at Lamakaan, on 25th November. The play starts at 6:30pm.
Gograhanam is a Telugu play written in 1986, that depicts the important stages of a woman's life & her struggle to keep up with a male-dominated world. It is the story of every woman in a typical Indian set-up, with her dreams & the sour reality.
The woman, at every step of her life, finds that the decision-maker or influencer of her own destiny is a man. Also, the play shows how, many a time, her own kind is not very happy to see her make choices.
This social satire has been staged several times in the last 24 years. Octopus Studio now plans to celebrate the play's 25th anniversary by performing this abstract piece in a street play format.

Tanikella is best known for his films - he has acted in over 550 films. Little do we know that he has also penned 52 films & written several plays.
