Vinod Pavarala, the UNESCO chair on community media at the University of Hyderabad, will talk on 'Radio Revolten', a month-long radio art festival being held in Halle, Germany, from October 1-31, where 70 artists from 17 nations are presenting contemporary art in the form of installations, performances, concerts and interventions. Pavarala, in this talk at the Goethe-Zentrum, will share some of the happenings of Radio Revolten that he has witnessed. He will speak also about the relevance of radio as art and counter-culture in an increasingly globalized and homogeneous media landscape.
