Brighten that Thursday evening with most of the city's rock-loving populace getting tipsy to some desi rock.
Hyderabad-based desi rock band Taksha will be performing live on 21st October, at the Hard Rock Cafe. The members of the band are Prabhu as lead guitarist; Anjani, the bassist; Dr. Maruth, guitarist; Suman, the drummer; Shweta, the lead vocalist; and Kiran, the keyboardist.
The band was formed in August 2009 in Hyderabad, and carries varied musical influences that range from western classical to progressive rock and symphonic rock. Founded by former members of the thrash metal band Sledge, it is the city's first Hindi rock band.
It has recently finished recording its debut album 'Nafrat', and has also completed its shooting of a music video for the song 'Bekhauf'.
The band has performed at various stage festivals and concerts in India and abroad. The combined discography of the band members is 6 full-length albums and 5 films.
