The play bravely takes on a situation where Emperor Shah Jahan is living in contemporary India. He decides to build the Taj Mahal in the memory of his beloved Mumtaz Mahal. The succeeding chain of events takes the Emperor through all the red-tape and bureaucratic hurdles possible within the political machinery. Would he succeed in building this monument?
