Kaushal Kowjalgi started learning the tabla at the age of 12 from Shashank Parulekar; although his initial foray into music-learning was guided by Smt. Kulkarni who put him through the paces of Hindustani Raagdhari sangeet.
Kaushal has also learnt in various workshops conducted by Pt. Sudhir Mainkar, Pt. Bhai Gaitonde & Pt. Suresh Talwalkar. He was taught the art of Tabla accompaniment by Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan and Pt. Prabhu Tendolkar.
Kaushal has performed regularly at various concerts and private mehfils.
