If you happen to be one of those who have always looked at a Pablo or Kahlo wistfully, and wondered if they could ever conjure up magic on canvas as these masters had, here is some good news for you.
Treasure House, a chidren's library and experience centre, is conducting Still Life painting classes, starting from 17th August to 16th September. Classes are being held every Tuesday and Wednesday of the week, from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
Still Life is a form of art that depicts inanimate or commonplace objects in an artificial setting. Kusum Viswanath, who has a master's degree in painting, and has held her own painting exhibitions in the city, will show participants how to master this art using 3 media - charcoal, pastels and water color.
The classes are open for anyone who is above 18 years of age, and the fee is Rs. 3000. This amount does not cover the cost of the materials required for painting.
