Sangeeta Kalanidhi Chitoor Subramanyam Sangeeta Kshetra is organising a Kuchipudi dance recital by Dr Shobha Naidu, on 13th October, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. The recital is part of Chitoor Subramanyam's memorial day celebrations, and will feature Dr Shobha Naidu and her group of artistes, performing a Kuchipudi ballet, Sri Krishna Parijatam.
Sri Krishna Parijatam story is about how trouble-maker Narada tries to brew mischief as he tinkers with the emotions of Satyabhama and Rukmini. He presents Lord Krishna with a flower, Parijata, from heaven, asking him to give it to someone. Lord Krishna gives it to Rukmini.
Narada reports this to Satyabhama, who is enraged with the Lord. To pacify her, Krishna has to bring in that very tree from heaven and plant it at Satyabhama's place. But that is not the end of it. The flowers of the tree fall in the garden of Rukmini, who uses it to worship the Lord. This further irks Satyavama. And the story continues...
