A one day seminar on Maharaja Sir Kishan Pershad is being organised at Taj Banjara by the Maharaja Kishan Pershad Committee, on the 21st June, at 10am. The seminar essentially aims to throw new light on the life and times of Maharaja Sir Kishan Pershad. Maharaja Sir Kishan Pershad Bahadur served as a Prime Minister (1902-1912) of the Hyderabad state of the Nizams. He belonged to a noble family, and traces back his roots to to Raja Todar Mal, emperor Akbar's finance minister. He succeeded Sir Vicar-ul-Umra as the Prime Minster. He was also a member of Freemason, Hyderabad.
Eminent researches will speak on the Maharaja's family, personality, 'ghazals', and prose, as well as his contribution to Urdu literature. The grandson of Maharaja Raja Shyam Gopal Sainchar will also participate in the seminar.
