As part of 125th birth year celebrations of Salar Jung IIIrd, 'Savaan-e-Hayat' a play written by the writer-director couple Noor Baig and Mohammad Ali Baig, the first staging and both of them together on stage after their wedding. It is a sequel to their earlier popular 'Quli: Dilon ka Shahzaada', (that created a unique buzz in Indian theatre with six international festivals in 10 months of its run). This epic spectacle 'Savaan-e-Hayat' scheduled to be staged at the historic Salar Jung Museum as part of 125 years celebrations is a gripping tale of the Queen of Golconda, Hayat Bakshi Begum, the role of which is commendably played by three different actresses on stage. Mohammad Ali Baig plays the three successive Qutb Shahi kings in her life. In Baig's signature style, this period masterpiece has grand sets, aesthetic costumes and jewellery, live song and dance and action that form part of the larger-than-life production. This Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation production is being presented as part of Salar Jung's 125th birth anniversary celebrations.
