Tonite, Nizam College will witness the magic of Rahul Sharma's Santoor recital as a part of the Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroha. The rising instrumentalist's renditions of traditional folk tunes from Kashmir and the Sufi music are heartwarming and soulful.
The Department Of Culture, Government Of A P, in association with Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj and Nizam College, is presenting the 33rd Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeeth Samaroha. The program is being scheduled at Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj International Centre Of Culture And Aesthetics, Department Of English, Nizam College.
Rahul Sharma is the son and disciple of Santoor virtuoso Shiv Kumar Sharma. He first performed live with his father in 1996 in the tradition of Jugalbandi. Rahul has to his credit a number of successful music collaborations with international artists. He has also composed the music for Bollywood film 'Mujhse Dosti Karoge'.
The Chief Guest for the evening will be Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Minister for Information, Public Relations and Energy, Govt. of AP. S P Singh, IAS, Secretary Municipal Administration, Govt. of AP, will be the Guest Of Honour.
