Seva Bharathi, an NGO, is organizing 5K and 10K marathons to raise funds under the Kishori Vikas program to educate women belonging to economically weaker sections of the society.
With special focus on education, health and women empowerment in socio-economically marginalized, tribal and indigenous communities, the KV program is aimed at adolescent girls living in slum areas.
Seva Bharathi is currently running 100 Kishori Vikas centers in and around Hyderabad. Each Kishori Vikas center provides education, skill development and other developmental activities to 25 girls in a slum for 2 hours every day. Cost of running each Kishori Vikas center is Rs. 25,000 an year.
Seva Bharathi's goal is to expand the program to benefit 10,000 girls (400 centers) with all your support.
