In Vedic times every element of nature had its own demi-god protecting it. Today everything has a Society. While most people might use a box of rocks to describe stupidity, The Society To Save Rocks has its own, well articulated reasons to appreciate their quiet forbearing presence. This month the society again conducts one of its popular Rockwalks, this time to Moulali.
The club welcomes everybody to join but requests them to come wearing some sensible shoes, a cap and long pants, and carry a water bottle. The membership fees vary from Rs. 100 for students to Rs. 1,000 for corporates, and the proceeds of such walks are being utilized to fund projects which will help save nature's architectural wonders and also to organize concerts for the spread of awareness of the importance of saving rocks.
Enrolment should be atleast a minimum of 2 days in advance. Please contact Frauke Quader, Secretary, Society to Save Rocks at 2355-2923 for further details.
