Kalasagaram continues to bring artists of the highest calibre in numerous art-forms, to hold you entranced as they encapsulate a lifetime of learning into a few hours on the stage.
Rajeswari Sainath is a Bharatnatyam dancer of international repute, from the Pandanallur school. What she is known for is her brilliant choreography, that has been commented on by many a maestro of Bharatnatyam. So you can expect some delayed Diwali fireworks as she and her disciples set the stage alight with their sparkling moves.
Look out especially for the Layas, in which Rajeswari has received training from her maternal uncle, the reknowned mridangam vidwan Dri. Karaikudi Mani. Her primary training was from Kalaimamani Indira Rajan of Chennai. Rajeswari is a strict tradiitonalist and will be performing with her disciples in this ballet called Narthana Panchakam. She is currently the director of Sruti Laya Kendra Natarajaalaya, an institution that has centres the world over. Kalasagaram would be felicitating her with the title of Nritya Kalasagara in a function to be held on 26th November, 2005.
