Raja is widely celebrated in odisha to welcome advent of monsoon and agricultural year. It is also celebrated for expressing our gratitude towards 'mother' earth as she is the provider of all food supply. Raja is festival celebrated for 3 days during which the ladies clean the grinding stone and offer turmeric, seasonal fruits and flowers and Pooja.All the women and girls of the house put on new clothes and take break from their daily chores. First time in Hyderabad Kalinga swaraj is trying to recreate the same ambience of joy,celebration and food.We would like to invite all Pravasi Odias to join us on this day.
