Alliance Francaise, together with the Hyderabad Film Club, and with support from Culture France and The French Embassy, is organising a French Film Festival to mark 50 years of new wave cinema and as part of Bonjour India - Festival of France. The festival is on from 14th to 17th January, at Prasads IMAX. A total of 8 world-class films will be screened at the festival.
The Bakery Girl Of Monceau (La Boulangere De Monceau) is the last film on the 2nd day of the film festival. Directed by Eric Rohmer and produced by Barbet Schroeder, this 1963 film stars Barbet Schroeder, Michele Girardon, Claudine Soubrier and Fred Junk. Part of Rohmer's 6-part "Moral Tales" series, the film shows a young man who approaches a girl in the street, who, eventually, must choose between her and another woman when he arranges dates with them on the same day.
