Sneak off from work to Kebabs & Kurries, and be assured of a wholesome meal designed to keep you dozing away, err, to keep you from dozing away, at your workdesk. ITC Kakatiya has an executive lunch platter from Monday to Saturday, all this month. The timings are 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
The lunch platter is available in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions, and the theme is a mix of Central Asian cuisine and the cuisine of Hyderabad nawabs. The menu aims to provide nutritious food that is rich in protein, for executives on the run.
The platter consists of 2 Kebabs, a Vegetable Curry, Mixed Raita, Roti, Dal, Bread and dessert. The kebabs offered include Pudina Paneer Tikka, Dum Ki Bhooley (a roll wrapped in paneer, shredded cabbage, bread crumbs and cheeese), Arbi Dhooni and Hara Kebab for vegetarians, and Tala Ghost, Mustur Murg, and Murg Malai for non-vegetarians.
The bread menu features Naan Baakhumach, whose name is derived from Baakhumach, a place in Afghanistan, and in which wheat bread is fermented and flavoured with fennel. The dessert includes Yakoti, a sweet-dish made of rice.
Ishmit, the owner and chef of Kebabs & Kurries, is the force behind the platter. He worked with Maurya Sheraton in Delhi for 2 years, then moved to Bukhara (named the 36th best restaraunt in the world) at ITC, Delhi, and finally to ITC Kakatiya, Hyderabad. Ishmit also started his own restaraunt in March 2008.
The platter is priced at Rs. 500. Please contact 2340-0132 for further details.
