REVIEW FOR PRESTORIKA LIVE @ FELICITY...

Felicity 2011, the annual cultural and technical fest of the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), is on from 18th to 20th February at the institute's campus in Gachibowli. As part of the rock night, Prestorika, a heavy metal band from Delhi, is performing on 19th February.

Speed metaller Prestorika is the winner of the Campus Rock Idols for 2005. Concentrating a lot on stage performances, the band has been able to release only 2 albums in the last 10 years - Emergence and Not My Way. The band is headed by Vasav Vashisht doing lead vocals, Rahul Lal on the bass guitar, Vasu Dharamsattu and Nikhil Jhingon on the guitar, and Nitesh Vasandani on the drums.

Making their mark across the country and performing across all major music festivals, Prestorika has earned a repute as one of the leading heavy metal acts of the nation in 2005. The band has played as a support act for The Rasmus in 2005 in Mumbai and Bangalore. They played with Freak Kitchen at the Great Indian Rock Festival (Mumbai) in 2006, Wes Borland (Slipknot / Limp bizkit) in 2007, and also Machinehead & Megadeth at Rock In India festival in March 2008.
