Phandi, a play in Hindi written by Shankar Shesh, is about the legal battle for mercy-killing. A person is accused of killing his father who was suffering from the last stage of cancer. The play is written and presented in a sequence of court scenes in a comical way, and finally initiates a debate with the audience as to whether mercy-killing is relevant and necessary for a person with no chance of survival.
