The Republic Day celebrations at YMCA take the form of painting and mimicry contests for young uns of all ages. There are plenty of topics to get your imagination soaring, and enough room for every colour in your crayon box. The categories and topics for the painting contests are:
1 - 4 class: Sub Juniors - Your Favourite Cartoon Character
5 - 7 class: Juniors - Nature painting And Landscape
8 - 10 class: Seniors - Overpopulation, Pollution
Intermediate: Model Sketching, Caricature
The categories for mimicry are 6 - 10 and Intermediate. Registration is Rs. 25 for all students, and they must bring a letter from the principal of their schools in order to enroll. The competitions start at 2 pm at the YMCA Secunderabad premises.
