Organized by a street-food connoisseur, the aim of this tour is to bring out both vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies for the food-hungry local or traveler in Hyderabad.
First stop - a pancake made with rice and lentil paste, stuffed with different variants (potatoes, cottage cheese, veggies) - Dosa. Walking towards Patherghatti, the guide will take you to one of locals' most favorite dosa shops for a delicious dosa to start the food walk.
Second stop - spices. Walk through the spice market in Old Hyderabad and indulge your senses in mouth-watering aroma. Pick up a few for your home or friends.
Third stop is brunch. It is time for nahari kulcha, roti kheema and bhaja curry, all of which are famous in Old City and prepared with recipes closely guarded and passed down from generation to generation. If you're lucky, you can take home some biryani. Apart from the biryani, you also get naan and marrg (soup), lukhmi (patty) with mince meat, kebab and patther ka ghosht.
desserts include double-ka-meetha, khubani-ka-meetha with malai and kaddu-ka-meetha. If visitors are interested, there is a place for sweets unique to Hyderabad, namely - badam ki jali, maske ka louz and ashrafi (sweet with the monogram of Nizam gold coin).
Fourth and final stop - Hyderabadi biryani. The walk ends at a place where the most famous biryani is served.
