REVIEW FOR OKKADU - APUROOPA CHITROTSAVAM
Ajay had a passion for kabbadi, but he never imagined his leap would land him on the Charminar.
Obul Reddy (Prakash Raj) is a factionist operating in Kurnool. He falls in love with Swapna (Bhumika), and ends up killing her two brothers who were opposing his advances. Swapna leaves her home for her uncle's place in the USA, in search of a safe haven.
Ajay (Mahesh Babu) is a kabaddi player, and is also the son of the Assistant Commissioner Of Police (Mukesh Rishi). Ajay, who is in Kurnool to participate in a kabaddi competition, rescues Swapna from Obul Reddy, and takes her to his own house in Hyderabad.
The Home Minister (Rajan P Dev), who is also a brother of Obul Reddy, asks the ACP to search for Swapna. Ajay and Swapna are then forced to once again run for their lives.
The Department of Culture and the A P State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation are presenting the screening of Okkadu, as part of the 45-day Apuroopa Chitrotsavam.
