Odyssey - A Literary Festival

Get armed with your best kits of one-liners, wisecracks, and obscure literary nuggets - this gab fest is no campus-canteen prattle. Vox Populi, a literary club formed by students of Sreenidhi Institute Of Science & Technology, is conducting Odyssey, a literary fest on the 12th of September, from 9am onwards.



The fest, open for everyone, is celebration of the spirit of adventure and creativity, and is organised every year. It attracts a large gathering of students, from not only engineering colleges, but from other fields as well.



The events are of two kinds - Classics and Artistry. The Classics comprise of Group Discussion, Extempore, Debate, JAM (Just A Minute) and Courtroom Brawl. Topics for the Classics events will be disclosed on the day of the event.



Artistry includes Collage, Face Painting, Graffiti, Junta Quiz and the Treasure Hunt. The highlights of the festival are the Mr. and Miss Odyssey contest, and a general open quiz. The Mr and Ms Odyssey contest involves a Q&A session of the participants by the judges.



There are lots of exciting prizes to be won, and the cash prizes sum up to a total worth of Rs. 30,000, for all the events. Prelims and final rounds will be held on the same day. The prelims will take place from 11am to 1pm, and the finals will be held from 2pm to 4pm.



Registration for events will be done at the venue, for a fee of Rs. 50 for Classics and Rs. 10 Artistry events. The fest is open for everyone.
