For fans of NTR, this is a week of hi-fives. Here's Kanna Rao bringing the legend to vivid memory tonite. Plus, Gummadi on stage!
Kinnera Art Theatres is celebrating the 84th birth anniversary of Late Dr Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao on 29th May, with a musical nite by Amalapuram Kanna Rao and party, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. Kanna Rao, along with Sharada Reddy, Kamala, G Lakshmana Murthy and Shruthi, will sing some duets of NTR. The recital will be supported by Satyadev on the keyboard, Vidhyadhar on the tabla and Murali on the flute.
Kanna Rao is a Hyderabad-based professional singer who sings both semi-classical and light music songs. He also renders his voice to the dance ballets of Bhagavathula Sethuram, Swapna Sundari, Dr Shobha Naidu and other upcoming dancers. He regularly participates in musical nites of the twin cities.
On this occasion, Kinnera will be presenting the NTR Memorial Award to film producer A Pundari Kachayya. The chief guests for the evening are Padmabhushan Dr C Narayana Reddy amd actor Gummadi Venkateshwara Rao.
Kinnera Art Theatres was started in 1977, and has since organised various programs, including musical nites, classical dances/vocals, felicitations and releases of books. It has served as a platform for many upcoming artistes, and at the same time provided the necessary recognition and appreciation for the established ones. Dr R Prabhakar Rao, IPS, is the chairman of the association, while M Raghuram is its dedicated secretary.
