Poorvi Arts and Crafts is organising a ten-day 'National Silk and Cotton Expo' from between September 25 and October 5 at TTD Kalyana Mandapam, Himayathnagar.
Weavers and artisans are showcasing their silk and cotton products in the expo from various states of India. A wide range of saris including Chirala, Mangalgiri, Kalamkari, Gadwal and cotton Khadi, along with Kanjeevaram and Opada from Karnataka, duppattas, salwar suits and stoles in vibrant colours are available at attractive prices.
The exhibition offers the best of silk and cotton products. The signature contemporary styling by the weavers from all over India, who are showcasing their work, have given the ethnic India apparels a modern twist. Apart from luxe fabrics, intricate embroideries and stunning colours, the expo features sheer fabrics such as chanderi, cotton and silk - all with a magical use of intricate karigari.
The entire range of saris and dress materials is striking as well graceful with bunch of bandhej, bandhni silks saree, jaipur kurti, block prints, kota doria from Rajasthan along with tanchoi, banarasi jamdani, jamavar, lakhnavi chikan from Uttar Pradesh. Assam?s Muga silk to Madhya Pradesh?s Chanderi silk and Andhra Pradesh?s Gadwal, Pochampally and Dharmavaram along with Chhattisgarh?s Kosa silk and silk from Varanasi, you can find them all at the exhibition. Tussar and matka silk from Bihar, embroidered silk sarees, pashmina shawls of Jammu & Kashmir are also available.
