The AP state government's prestigious Nandi Awards function is being held on 16th March, at Lalitha Kala Thoranam. The awards will be given for the films chosen during the year 2008, and the recipients are as follows:

Best Audiographer - Radhakrishna & Madhusudhan Reddy (Arundhati)
Best Costume Designer - Deepa Chandar (Arundhati)
Best Makeup Artiste - Ramesh Mahanti (Arundhati)
Best Male Dubbing Artiste - P Ravi Shankar (Arundhati)
Best Female Dubbing Artiste - R Haritha (Nacchavule)

Best Lyrics Writer - Sirivennela (Gamyam)
Best Cinematographer - Chota K Naidu (Kotha Bangaru Lokam)
Best Music Director - Micky J Meyer (Kotha Bangaru Lokam)
Best Male Playback Singer - Shankar Mahadevan (Venkatadri)
Best Female Playback Singer - Geeta Madhuri (Ninne Ninne - Nacchavule)
Best Choreographer - Prem Rakshit (Kantri)
Best Fight Master - Ram-Lakshman (Neninthe)
Best Film Critic - Parcha Sarath Kumar
Special Jury Award - Batukamma
Special Jury Award - Allu Arjun (Parugu)
Special Jury Award - Susheela (1940 Lo Oka Gramam)
Best Female Dubbing Artiste - R Haritha
A total of 65 awards will be given, including the above. Winners were finalised by 14 committee members and approved by the Chief Minister K Rosaiah.
Eminent yesteryear heroine Jamuna has been chosen for the NTR National Film Award. The B N Reddy National Film Award will be given to renowned director K B Tilak, while the Nagi Reddy-Chakrapani National Film Award will go to producer A Ramesh Prasad. Actress-director Vijayanirmala will receive the Raghupathi Venkaiah award. Jamuna will win a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakhs along with a citation and memento, while the other 3 will receive Rs. 2 lakhs each along with a memento and a citation.
