Thyagaraja Gana Sabha can be a different world for people who read the English dailies with their lifestyle pronouncements. Like it will be, tonite.
Srikalanidhi is organising a musical nite on 15th December at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. Renowned amateur singers like D A Mitra, Vijaya Lakshmi, Amantha, Venkateshwar Rao, Pulla Rao and Renuka will be singing some of the old melodies of Ghantasala, SPB, Suseela, Janaki and Jikki. They will be supported on the orchestra by Brahmanandam on the keyboard, Nagaraju on the tabla, Surya Teja on the flute, and by Gangadhar and Phani Bhushan, the other accompanying artistes.
On this occasion, members of Srikalanidhi will donate money and clothes to a blind school in Vanasthalipuram. The donations will be handed over to Laxma Reddy, the Principal of the school, who will be present at the musical nite. P V Rajeshwar Rao (politician and son of Late Dr P V Narasimha Rao) and Vice-President of FAPCCI Atluri Subba Rao are the Chief Guest and special guest respectively.
Srikalanidhi was established in 2002 by Amantha, an amateur singer and a music lover, to promote movie music. Musical nites are organised every month, which also become a get-together for these singers.
