Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad, in collaboration with Salar Jung Museum Hyderabad, is pleased to present an informal talk on 'Museum Techniques' by Robert Zayd Paris.
About the talk:
Robert Zayd Paris will speak about the general German and European understanding of creating museums and the importance of planning and concepts. He will also talk on how and in which circumstances to present exhibits according to scientific conditions. The interaction between the visitors and the display of objects in the museum, audio and visual support with electronic media will also be discussed, as well as the conservation of the artifacts and the kinds of display in exhibitions as well as in depots. There will also be a discussion on the methods and knowledge currently in use in India for museums-techniques and if possible, how to combine them.
Robert Zayd Paris is a photographer and consultant for museum techniques from Germany. He is the son of photographer Helga Paris, whose exhibition of photographs spanning nearly 4 decades on East Germany is currently on display at the Salar Jung Museum.
