Mother's Day Celebrations By Abhinandana: Events in Hyderabad

The best reward you can give your mother is recognition, chucking all the awkwardness in the dustbin and saying it all out. These people are not postponing it, unlike so many of us.

On the occasion of Mother's Day, Abhinandana is organising a felicitation program of various personalities on 12th May, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. An award instituted in memory of the mother of Abhinandana's founder secretary E Bhavani, the Madiraju Varalakshmi Memorial Award and Gold Medal, will be given to K Sugunamani, Trustee Member of Andhra Mahila Sabha.

The evening starts with a Seeta Kalyanam Harikatha recital, followed by the felicitation programs. The chief guest for the function is Dr. Rallabandi Kavita Prasad, Director of The Deaprtment of Culture, Government of AP. Other important invitees are Suddala Ashoka Teja, movie song writer; and Dr Y Kiran, Chairman of Suchir India.

On this occasion, various eminent citizens of the city will felicitate their mothers (Matru Vandanam) at the function. Writer and widow of N T Rama Rao, Dr Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi, will felicitate her mother Samrajya Lakshmi, and President of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, Kala Venkata Deekshitulu, will felicitate Kala Venkata Tripura Sundari.
