It can't get bigger than this in India - at least, till we get to host the World Cup.
Much before Indians started dreaming about a World Cup haul, the cricket buffs in the country actualized this immensely popular tournament called Moin-ud-Dowlah Gold Cup, in 1931.
Starting on 3rd September, this is probably the only sporting event that is eagerly awaited by the cricketers, the coaches and the sodawallahs bordering the Gymkhana ground. There are 16 teams participating in the event, unlike the 20 that volunteered last time.
The matches will be played at 8 regular venues. However, the semi-finals and the finals will be divided between the Visakha International Stadium and the Gymkhana grounds.
This is one event you cannot afford to miss. We have said this the last year too and will do it the next time also. Googly?
