REVIEW FOR MECHARENA '10 - TECHNICAL...

Mecharena '10, the 8th annual technical festival of Department of Mechanical Engineering, University College of Engineering, is on from 26th to 28th March, at the department's campus in Osmania University. Mecharena is organised by students of the mechanical engineering department.

The 3-day fest will feature various engineering colleges of the city, state and country, coming up with models and presentations that will showcase the talents of the mechanical engineers of tomorrow. A load of technical events for the 3 days have been lined up as under:

Robotyka

This has 4 different events, as under:

Countryside Tour - Make a bot that traverses a path containing obstacles

Step Climber - Prepare a bot that can climb curved steps

Regatta - Boat racing

Sumo Splash - Robot-sumo on water

Prakatikarana

This is an annual paper presentation event that provides a platform to present one's research papers. The event is aimed at spreading your research nationwide and invite further developments.

Aavishkar

It is an annual poster presentation event that provides one a platform to show innovations on a poster.

Spot Events

Experiment - Some items will be provided and participants will have to carry out an experiment based on them.

Collage - Participants can bring newspaper cuttings, extracts from magazines, or any type of written material or pictures, on the topic of "Automobile Industry - The Future Of India".

Lectures

A guest lecture will be given by the Chairman and Managing Director of MIDHANI, M Narayana Rao.

Workshop

There will be 2 workshops, one on Centrifugal Casting and the other on Pit Furnaces.

Gaming Zone

For the gaming honchos, this is a perfect platform to showcase their skills in online games.
