In this epic drama, Lord Krishna's brother Balarama wants his daughter Sashirekha to marry his sister Subhadra's son Abhimanyu. Narada plays spoilsport and Sashirekha's mother plans to get her married to Duryodhana's son. Abhimanyu confides in Ghatodgaja about his predicament. Ghatodgaja vows to help Abhimanyu and arrives in Dwaraka and using his magical powers unites the lovers against all odds.

About the Director: An artist moulded in Surabhi Theatre, R Nageswara Rao (Babji) is an actor, director and organizer. He started performing on the stage from the eleventh day of his birth. Up to now he has performed in approximately 7000 stage shows. Respected with a National Award in 2011 by the Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi & recipient of Padma Shri in 2013, Babji took the reins of the group in 1973. The troupe is a rare institution of family theatre with more than 65 members that has an unbroken record of performing for 75 years. The troupe in itself is celebrating its 127th year. They were invited to France in 2013 to perform at the Passages 2013 Festival.
