As part of the Qadir Ali Baig theatre festival, Seagull Repertory from Guwahati is presenting a Hindi play, 'Madhyabartini' on 30th October in the Taramati Baradari indoor auditorium, Ibrahim bagh, at 7:30pm.
The play is based on a Rabindranath Tagore's classic, "Madhyabartini", which explores the journey of love in marital life through the eyes of two women and a man. It also seeks answers to conflicts that arise in a relationship between a man and a woman, and deals with women's liberty and feminism.

Seagull Theatre was established in 1990 in Guwahati, Assam, by a few NSD graduates. Seagull seeks to improve the state of Assamese theatre, and runs repertory theatre academies (for children, youth and aged people), a publication wing and weekend shows at its own studio.
