The Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad, together with Goethe Zentrum and the Hyderabad Western Music Forum, is presenting a baroque lute concert by Andre Henrich, a flute concert by Hyderabad based Nagaraju and a choir by the students of St. Francis College, Hyderabad, on 23rd December, at Saptaparni.
Andre Henrich is a soloist and continuo player on the lute, the theorbo and the baroque guitar. Based in Paris since 2002, he has worked with renowned ensembles and directors including Les Arts Florissants and William Christie, Musica Antiqua Koln, Reinhard Goebel, Collegium Vocale Gent and Philippe Herreweghe.
Henrich has performed throughout Europe and the USA and also in Japan, Taiwan and Egypt. He has participated in more than 30 CD recordings and also DVD and television productions. As a soloist, he is particularly interested in German and French repertory for the baroque lute.
Nagaraju is a senior flautist, and was the foremost disciple of Manda Balarama Sarma in 1972. He is a A-High graded artiste of the AIR, Vijayawada. He has performed in most parts of the country, particularly in north India. He has also toured London, Brazil, Singapore and Malaysia.
