Hard Rock Cafe presents a rock band live every Thursday evening, and as part of the weekly gig, Bangalore-based hard rock band Lounge Piranha is performing live on 4th February. The members of the band are George Mathen on the drums, Rohan Ramesh on the bass guitar, Kamal Singh on the guitar and vocals, and Abhijeet Tambe on the guitar and vocals.
From being voted as one of Bangalore's top 3 bands in the Radio City Live poll in Mar 06 to opening the VH1 Rock Rules show featuring Taxiride in June 2006, the Lounge Piranha has come a long way since its conception in 2005. While enjoying the bright lights and the big audiences, the band also continues to moonlight the smaller stages with packed shows at pubs and clubs around the city. The band won the Indian TFA award in early 2007, recorded a demo in late 2006, and released their first full-length album, Going Nowhere, in October. It was supported by the Going Nowhere Tour, in various places around India.
