Bose Krishnamachari will make a visual presentation on the topic, "Aesthetics Cannot Be Taught But Can Be Experienced".
Born in 1963 in Kerala, Bose Krishnamachari studied Painting at the Sir J J School of Art, Mumbai, and received Masters from the Goldsmiths College, University of London. He has has shows with art galleries and museums across the world.
Bose actively curates and conceptualizes exhibitions. He opened Gallery BMB in South Mumbai in 2009, with a vision to bring the best national and international art to India.
He has been the Artistic Director and Co-Curator of an international exhibition of contemporary art, Kochi-Muziris Biennale, held in Kochi, Kerala, in 2012. He is currently the President of the Kochi Biennale Foundation, and the Biennale Director of Kochi-Muziris Biennale.
Krishnamachari was awarded by the Kerala Lalit Kala Academy, and also was the first runner-up for the Bose Pacia Prize for Modern Art, New York, in 2001, besides having received other prestigious honours. He lives and works in Mumbai.
