Hafez maps the emotional terrain each must travel with a distinctive voice that is typically exuberant, energetic, and uplifting. This night at the Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad, poet Bill Wolak and sitarist Srinivas Reddy will perform a unique combination of Persian love poetry and Hindustani ragas that will feature the ghazals of Hafez translated into both English and German.
William Wolak:
William Wolak, is a poet and translator from the US. Bill has been awarded several National Endowment for the Humanities scholarships and two Fulbright-Hayes scholarships to study and travel abroad. His love for Hafez has taken him to many inetrnational performances.His recent books are Love Emergencies and Your Lover?s Beloved.
