Jatakmala - an artistic impression of readings of the Jataka Tales of the Buddhists.
The original tales (numbering over 540) touch upon a range of issues of its times - ecology, animal world, human relations and wisdom stories. The choreography of this piece will depict specific stories, images and impressions of reading these tales, and elucidates their underlying meaning to several common ideas that run through the narrative.
Rangavali - This part has a nationalist element in its depiction. Dancers represent the 3 colors of the Indian national flag and the 'Chakra'. The artistic interpretation is woven through individual and group movements, and celebrates the national flag as a symbol of our solidarity as Indians.
Abstract Dance - This piece is a dance of joy and exuberance.
