Indo-Pak playwright Saadat Hasan Manto's radio drama, Intezaar, will be re-enacted by Uneeswan Adhyaya's theatre group on February 3 at Lamakaan.
Born in 1912, Saadat Hasan Manto was an Indo-Pakistani writer, playwright and author who is considered among the greatest writers of short stories in South Asian history.
Manto also worked with the Indian film industry in Bombay (now Mumbai) and wrote scripts for movies including Kali Salwaar, Kisan Kanya, Apni Nagariya, Mirza Ghalib, Shikari, and Badnaam.
Uneeswan Adhyaya is a popular theatre group that has enacted several plays at famous arts and cultural festivals across India including Thyagaraja Aradhya Festival, Verba Maximus (BITS Pilani), and many others.
