Fame, fortune, and glory beyond measure. That's the dream, that's the promise, that's, umm... the another adjective. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the reason for all the excitement around Indian Idol. Plus, the fact that its American counterpart was all about mind-boggling popularity and soaring TRPs.
The hosts of Indian Idol, Aman Verma (Kulja Sim Sim) and Mini Mathur (MTV VJ), are gonna go around the country scouting for singing talent. About a 100 contestants are gonna filter through to the next round, subsequent to which the number will reduce to 50, then 10, and then finally viewers get to vote two of them off every week as the show is telecast on the tube.
This is the big chance for a lotta people. After all, any promise of inflated TRPs is not joking matter.
So go on ahead, sing away in a lingo of your preference. Dazzle Aman on the 24th and Mini on the 25th. Godspeed.
