The India Imports, Exports & Manufacturer Trade Fair 2007 (IMPEX), the much awaited for exclusive exhibition, is back again this year at the Hitex exhibition grounds, from 15th to 18th of June. The exhibition houses some of the finest imported, exported and manufactured goods from all over the world, under one roof.
Managed by Icare Communications, the trade fair showcases imported articles such as bedroom sets, solid wood furniture, and artificial silk flowers from Thailand; export products such as silver furniture from Udaipur, Rajasthani hand carved furniture, murals pottery, Kashmiri carpets and paintings; as well as products manufactured in and for India such as home linen and designer frames.
IMPEX 2007 has an exclusive international section which has a special Thai Pavilion displaying authentic Thai jewelry, silk flowers, handicrafts and lamps. It also has other participants from Malaysia, Kenya, Vietnam, Pakistan, Egypt, Singapore, Laos and Cambodia.
Some of the other highlights of the fair are hand-crafted bedroom furniture and home decor products, hand-carved wooden Rajasthani jhulas, handicrafts from Egypts, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, trendy dining sets from India and Malaysia, Italian leather furniture and terracota pottery.
