With festivals going on and the weather being pleasant for shopping, one of the biggest shopping extravaganzas of town - the Indian Consumer Exhibition (ICE 2010) - is back. It's on from 16th to 31st October, at Nizam Grounds.
The exhibition is playing host to about 275 domestic and multinational companies exhibiting various consumer goods including furniture, crockery, carpets, bed spreads, dining covers, artificial flowers and modular chimneys, along with real estate, consumer goods, electronic items, home appliances and more. Heavy discounts of upto 50%, free gifts and lucky draws are being offered on various products.
Electronic majors such as LG, Videocon, Philips, Onida, Sansui, Kenstar, IFB, Whirlpool, Samsung, Electrolux, Hyundai Electronics and Usha are displaying their vast umbrella of products. Merchandise ranges from flat televisions, plasmas and ultra-slim televisions, to washing machines, music systems, refrigerators, VCD and DVD players, iPods, MP3 & MP4 players, digital still cameras, video cameras, microwave ovens, convection grills, toasters and air-conditioners.
In addition, there is colorful ceramic crockery from Delhi, along with cups, lampstands, trays, dining table jars, serving bowls, dinner plates and small knick-knacks. Plastic goods like storage jars and laundry baskets for the home are also on display. Glen, Gilma and TTK Prestige are showcasing their electric chimneys, gas stoves and pressure cookers.
General and life insurance companies like Reliance General Insurance, SBI Life and ING Vysya Life Insurance are out to market their insurance products in this city of uncertainty. For serious buyers of plots and homes, Saiteja, Suchir India, Rishi Jaideep, Madhubala Estates, City Square, Green Homes and Pargat Green Meadows are there for assistance.
Other stalls include coir products from Coir Board, DTH television connectivity services from Tata Sky, Videocon, Airtel, Reliance and Dish TV, lubricants from Gulf Oil, ayurvedic products from Himalaya and Dabur, handicrafts from Thailand and Turkey, exotic and contemporary furniture from Furniture Mart and Furniture Point, mattresses from Libra, power inverters from Genus, electronic lanterns and portable gas stoves from PKL Limited, and other stuff from China and Iran.
All major credit cards are accepted. The entry is by tickets of Rs. 50 per head.
