The annual Hyderabad Maha Utsav Mela is back again at the People's Plaza grounds, from 15th April to 25th May. The 40-day exhibition-cum-fair will have over 200 stalls offering a variety of consumer products, and there's plenty of entertainment, too.
On offer are a wide variety of consumer articles that include garments (both readymade and ready-to-stitch), UP terracota, American crockery, Bengali cotton sarees, artificial jewellery, glassware, footwear, cosmetics, Tripura hosiery, Manipuri cane, Jaipur bangles, Panipat handlooms, Lepakshi handicrafts, Kondapally and Etikoppaka wooden toys, and a variety of home appliances. There are discounts on every item purchased here.
For children, there are about 20 different kinds of amusement rides - frisbee throwing, revolving cups, the giant wheel, a roller coasters, a merry-go-round, a train and a jumping frog. To tickle your taste buds, there are food stalls serving rich North Indian and Chinese cuisine, hot snacks and fast food - mirchi bajjis, vadas, pav bhajis and samosas being some of them - and beverages such as soft drinks, and hot tea and coffee.
The exhibition is open to the public from 4pm to 10pm, and the entry fee is Rs. 10 per head.
