It's time to run again! It's Sunday, with the biting chill of a November morning. And if you're not running this morning, you're not only sane, you're alone. The Hyderabad 10K Run Foundation is organizing a 10K Run and a Half Marathon on 22nd November, from People's Plaza. The half marathon will begin at 5:30am, and 10k Run at 6:30am.
The Hyderabad 10K Foundation was established with the objective of promoting health, fitness and sport. The foundation uses its funds for these causes, and also to organize the 10 km running race in town. Its vision is to make Hyderabad a "global city" - a city that offers the highest quality of life, making it one of the best places in the world to work and live.
Hyderabad 10k Run (10 km):
The Hyderabad 10K Foundation initiated the 10K run in the year 2003, with the objective of promoting health, fitness & sport in the city of Hyderabad. On the 22nd November, the run will start at People's Plaza at 6:30am, and will continue through Sanjeevaiah Park, Sailing Club, Tank Bund, Ambedkar Statue, Secretariat, before coming back to People's Plaza.
Half Marathon (21.1 km):
In the year 2005, the Foundation also introduced the Half Marathon alongside the 10 km run, keeping in mind the needs of serious runners looking for avenues to showcase their running skills and keeping fit. The half marathon will begin at People's Plaza at 5:30am, and travel through Sanjeevaiah Park, Sailing Club, Tank Bund, Basheer bagh, Abids, Nampally, Charminar, Nampally, Abids, Basheer bagh, Ambedkar Statue and Secretariat, back to the starting point, People's Plaza.
