REVIEW FOR HOUSEWARMING - FRENCH FILM
The Hyderabad Film Club is screening a French movie titled House Warming, at Sarathi Studio, on 27th October at 6:30pm.
In Housewarming (the original title of which translates to Remodeling: You Know When It Starts), Carole Bouquet stars as Chantal Letellier, a wealthy, powerful, and happily divorced Paris attorney who devotes a lot of her time to helping the city's poorly treated immigrants. Chantal wins over her judges with ease, and her life seems to swim along, until she decides to remodel her massive apartment.
She hires a former client from Colombia, Eduardo (Marcial Di Fonzo Bo), as her architect. He and his illegal immigrant crew end up soon end up wrecking her home.
There are other problems in Chantal's life, too. Poncin (Jean-Pierre Castaldi), a wealthy former client, falls in love with Chantal and begins to stalk her. Her young daughter, Pulch
