Hip Hop Night With DJ Blazita At B&C

The blonde DJ from New York Blazita will rock the night party with her hip hop beats on 12th August, at the Bottles & Chimney club.



DJ Blazita originally started DJing while attending Penn State University. Starting off as a radio personality in high school and then in college, she frequently hosted freestyle battles, interviewed special guests, and then, began spinning mix shows. Her interest in music and radio led her to learn how to use turntables. After years of practice, Blazita began playing at private parties, clubs and other special events.



Blazita now deejays in popular venues throughout New York City, and has been to other cities and countries as well. She spins an open format including top 40, hip hop, Latin, house, reggae, and '80s-'90s classics. Blazita was recently featured as a DJ on HOT 97 The Takeover with DJ Funkmaster Flex. In October 2009, she was featured in an article by the NY Post titled, "The Top 10 Hottest Latin DJs in NYC".



In 2008, Blazita won a Justo award for "Best Female Mixtape DJ", and in 2010, she has been nominated for "DJ Of The Year" at the Underground Music Awards (UMAs). She has also been nominated "Best Female DJ" at the 2009 and 2010 Latin Mixx Awards. Blazita's personal favorite mix series, known as the "Sex & The City: R&B Classics", was nominated for 2 awards (Best Blend Mix, Best Slow Jam Mix) at the 2009 Southern Entertainment Awards. She has been featured on radio shows such as Sirius Hip Hop Nation, Sirius Shade 45, HOT97, Thatshiphop.com, AlistRadio.net, and DTFradio.com.
