This Sunday, heritage lovers can walk down the pages of history in the City of Nizams, as the tourism department revives the one-and-a-half hour walk from Charminar to Chowmahalla Palace. The tickets cost Rs. 50 and include breakfast, which will be served in the palace.
The Heritage Walk, an initiative of the state tourism department, will become a part of the city\'s culture. Designed to give people a feel of the Nizam era, this 90-minute heritage walk will start at Charminar at 7am, and will go through Laad Bazaar and Amir-e-Paigah, to ultimately reach Chowmahalla Palace.
People are often at a loss when it comes to knowing their own city. This walk will educate people about the rich culture that Hyderabad has and also educate them with some unknown facts about these architectural wonders. Throughout the walk, a representative from the tourism department will explain the history of all the important lanes and buildings that fall on the way.
