Rajat Kapoor's second installment of the grim clown laughter riot will feature actors Vinay Pathak, Rachel D'souza, Kalki Koechlin, Sujay Saple, Neil Bhoopalam, Puja Sarup & Namit Das, Aadar Malik. And will be hosted by Shilpakala Vedika on February 12.
As the story goes, a bunch of clowns are putting up a show on Hamlet, and sometimes they misinterpret the text and at other times find new meanings in it. Sometimes they try and understand it but very often make a mess of it. They chose to use some phrases from the play and mix it with gibberish. They even edit the text, throw out some important scenes, and make a mess of the order of things as if the pages got mixed up. But through these, all they are looking for is simply the essence of Hamlet, and trying to find a context in our own times.
